Mightn't be motorcycle season, but that doesn't mean they're gone

Fayetteville may be just north enough in North Carolina to have winter weather that keeps many motorcyclists off the road. But that does not mean that they are altogether gone.

With this weekend's forecast calling for at least some sun and temperatures in the 60s, the chances are good that at least some two- and three-wheeled motor vehicles will be plying the roads of the state in the days ahead. That demands a greater sensitivity on everyone's part to ensure that the roads stay safe for all motorists -- and especially motorcyclists.

When accidents involving motorcycles occur, all too often it is because of the negligence of another driver. And all too often, the explanation given by the responsible party is that they just didn't see the motorcyclist.

Considering that the motorcyclist in many such crashes winds up with catastrophic injuries, ranging from broken limbs to traumatic head injuries, such explanations fall far short in terms of reasoning. Often, the most meaningful way to ensure the responsible party is held properly accountable, and that the victims receive the compensation that may be due, is through legal action with the help of an experienced attorney.

Motorcyclists have as much right to be on the road as any driver, come rain or come shine. And all drivers have a duty to be attentive to the other vehicles around them for safety's sake. If you have been injured in a motorcycle crash or a loved one has died as a result of such an event, Britton Law, P.A., can be relied upon to deliver compassionate, assertive representation. A call to discuss your case is welcome.
